Using the NEW Rainbow Splendour Products

Hi everyone!

Here is my last share with Rainbow Splendour for November. It's the end of the month, so I decided this week to get some online blog challenges done! Now I can share them with you, because on each of the designs, some of the latest, newest Rainbow Splendour goodies made their way on the page - I know, a surprise, right?!

First is the challenge from: White with 1

ww1 freesia

Here is my page and some close ups:

White gesso through a stencil plus doodling to create this background, and then some beautiful clusters of embellishments,
including the NEW handcut feathers and a Felt Bow from Rainbow Splendour.

Next, was this cool challenge at 123 Challenge .

Here is my page and some close ups:

A doily and some cooper wire to create the frame around the photo (an awesome photo of me and my mum!), and then I went crazy glueing sequins and beads!
And I used one of the beautiful NEW glitter tipped feathers from Rainbow Splendour, which looks perfect nestled amongst all the cooper and golds and stars and flowers!

And lastly, I completed the challenge using the Mood Board at Sassy Scrappers:

Here is my page and a close up:

I was definitely inspired by this colour palette!
I created my own background with gelatos. I also did some stamping using the gelatos as well.
I layered some doilies with washi tape and plasters mesh under the photo and included some resin flowers, glitter bits and enamel dots.
And of course, the NEW Vellum Bows from Rainbow Splendour - look seriously good on any page! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today - I can't wait to get into December - new inspiration and more Rainbow Splendour goodies!

Amanda

November Sketch #2

Hi again everyone!

This month the Rainbow Splendour Design team was asked to create based on this fab sketch designed by Chloe:

Here is my second page and some close ups. You can see that I rotated the sketch this time round.

Totally love the combination of using Rainbow Splendour bows, pretty pins, with some simple flowers and sequins.

Thanks for looking! Hope you have having a fabulous week.

CARDS with Rainbow Splendour

Hi Everyone,

Secretly I am a scrapbooker, who does not make cards as often as I should. When I buy a card from the shop to go with a present, I feel guilty because surely I could find time to make something super quick with stuff from my stash? The reality is, that I find cards a challenge, so I think I avoid it- so little space to make the card balanced and looking good! Luckily this morning I was inspired by our friend Charmane, from Charms Creations who has been sharing her awesome cards on her Facebook page.

She was using these Tim Holtz distress stains
to colour the backgrounds for her cards.

This was just the inspiration I needed to get busy making cards this afternoon. Using some lovely lovelies from my Rainbow Splendour stash - namely Polaroids, plus a few bows and chevrons, these cards, with their Tim Holtz coloured backgrounds and some sequins, were so quick and easy to assemble. These six cards were done in an hour! Now I have some cards in my pocket, all ready to go for the next birthday!

Here they are:

So that was fun! And it proves it... Rainbow Splendour is a perfect embellishment for card making... even the most reluctant card maker (me) can do it!

See you soon,
Amanda

November Sketch #1

Hi everyone,

My turn to share at Rainbow Splendour this week!

We were ever so happy when Chloe designed a sketch for us, to use as inspiration!

Here it is.... (does it inspire you?):

And here is my layout and some close ups:

Page dedicated to my old cat JJ who we lost this year.
I used some of the latest Rainbow Splendour bows and the gorgeous hand cut feathers.
This morning, as my oldest daughter was getting dressed, I tried to put a spotty hair bow in her hair - she stopped me and said that because se was wearing a stripy shirt, there was no way she could use a spotty bow in her hair - spots and stripes don't go together according to her! Guess I didn't get the memo when I designed this page - spots, stripes, stars and hearts - total mix up of patterns! Ha!

Thanks for looking today! How have you been using your Rainbow Splendour bows?

Novembers Challenge part 2....

Good morning, Rikki here again with another share working on Novembers sketch, and remember my challenge? Four pieces of pattern paper and 4 different layouts, based on the sketch..... So I am sharing a boy layout today with this in mind with a different set of papers (the other layout you will see later in the week).

If your anything like me you have a stash of these RBS Polaroid frames..... they work perfectly next to a Project Life size journal card.

For a perfect masculine touch why dont you add a RBS Geometric shape to the page.

November Challenge

Good Morning Rikki here for  my week on Rainbow Splendour, today I am sharing with you one of my layouts based on this months November sketch. I must say when I saw this I was nervous.... I as a scrapper dont always do huge angled papers on my layouts, I think its because then I am suck with the off cuts. It then dawned on me that maybe this was the perfect opportunity to challenge my thinking, to get 4 layouts out of 4 pieces of pattern paper and to make them look different from each other......

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!!

How about the RBS Pretty Pins?

I love the RBS glitter leaves, that you get in the RBS Mystery packs...... and if your lucky there are some still available from last weeks sale.

Till next time have a creative day....

And if you feel inspired by this sketch why dont you share on the Rainbow Splendour facebook page or leave a link to your blog in the comments.
